Salutations to the auspicious one, who wears the serpent king as a garland, who has three eyes, who is adorned with ash, who is the lord of all beings, who is eternal and pure, who is naked and formless. Salutations to the letter "Na" in the name of Shiva.
मणिक्यबूष्हीताङ्गं महेश्वरं मुन्दमालाधारं परमेश्वराय। मन्दाकिनी-सलिल-चन्दन-चर्चिताय तस्मै मकाराय नमः शिवाय॥
Salutations to the great lord, who is adorned with a garland of skulls, who holds a staff, who is the supreme lord, who is adorned with the crescent moon, who is worshipped with the water of the Mandakini river and sandalwood paste. Salutations to the letter "Ma" in the name of Shiva.
शिवाय गौरीवदनाब्ज-वृन्द-सूर्याय दक्षाध्वरनाशकाय। श्रीनीलकण्ठाय वृषध्वजाय तस्मै शिकाराय नमः शिवाय॥
Salutations to Shiva, who is the sun to the lotus-like face of Gauri, who destroyed the sacrifice of Daksha, who has a blue neck, and who holds the bull as his emblem. Salutations to the letter "Shi" in the name of Shiva.
वासिष्ठकुम्भोद्भव-गौतमार्यमुनीन्द्रदेवार्चित-शेखराय। चन्द्रार्कवैश्वानरलोचनाय तस्मै वकाराय नमः शिवाय॥
Salutations to Shiva, who is adorned with the crowns worshipped by sages like Vasishta, Kumbha, Gautama, Indra, and others, who has the sun, moon, and fire as his eyes. Salutations to the letter "Va" in the name of Shiva.
यक्षस्वरूपाय जटाधराय पिनाकहस्ताय सनातनाय। दिव्याय देवाय दिगम्बराय तस्मै यकाराय नमः शिवाय॥
Salutations to Shiva, who has the form of a Yaksha, who wears matted hair, who holds the Pinaka bow, who is eternal, divine, and naked. Salutations to the letter "Ya" in the name of Shiva.
